Mtn Glo Airtel and Etisalat Automatic Configuration Settings

Automatic configuration settings is the safest method of connecting your device to the internet. But at times it is not accepted for some devices especially low version devices. Automatic configuration are sometimes sent immediately after switching on your sim in a new device, and at times or most it requires one to send the command for automatic configuration before he can be able to use it if it not sent to the device used.

Below are the major Nigeria Network and their configuration code command that activates their connection to the internet depending on thier network power.

MTN AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION

For 2G/3G/3.5G Network direct to your device

Text SETTINGS to 3888

GLO AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION

For Glo 3G Network directly to your device

Text ACTIVATE to 444

AIRTEL AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION

For 2G/3G/3.5G Network

Text [Internet] [Phone_Company_Name] [Model Number] to 232

Example for Nokia 2700, text it as: Internet Nokia 2700 send to 232 

OR use this URL http://dmc.ng.airtel.com to activate your SIM for browsing

The Default password to activate them is 0000

ETISALAT AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION

For 2G and 3G/3.5G Network

Text SETTINGS to 790 

Remember this, after sending this commands, you will have wait for atleast 20seconds. you will be sent the configuration setting as a form of message, open it and click install. If you are ask for Default password, type 1234 for MTN and GLO and type 0000 for airtel and etisalat 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

You must not off your device after installation for effective result. After the installation is successful, The network will send you a congratulatory message and advice to you to buy a data plan.

Some devices don't work, not because of bad configuration but sometimes The data plan in the device is not supported for that device, so do ensure to check your data plan before concluding the problem.
